Unionville Elementary School PTO Presents
2nd Annual "Around The Town" Fashion Show And Fundraiser
Thursday, April 11, 2013 – 6:30 P.M
Kennett Square Golf and Country Club
Enjoy a lovely evening of festive spring Fashion provided by local
merchants and modeled by UE faculty and staff. This is a wonderful
opportunity for you to show your support for UES . Our local vendors are
doing a great job to help make this a success. Fashions by Chantilly Blue,
Jane Chalfant, Ashley Austin, Kiki Boutique, Willowdale Country Store,
Blink, Green Eye Lady and many more.
There are raffle prizes to win and silent auction items that you don't
want to miss.
Purchase your ticket by writing a check to UE PTO in the amount of $40.
Please write your name and email in order to receive ticket confirmation.
Please mail your payment by Thursday, March 28th, however, once we sell
out, ticket sales will close.
Space is LIMITED and tickets WILL NOT SOLD AT THE DOOR

We have an exciting event coming up at UE – the UE Family Fun Night of
Basketball!!!
It will be taking place at the new High School Gym on April 12th from
7-9pm.
Watch teachers and parents face off in a night of basketball that includes
lots of other fun activities including: pre-game shot competition, Mr.
Beaver as a special announcer, special team spirit souvenirs for purchase
and grade-level dances for all UE students.
This is a great opportunity to show some UE spirit and cheer for your
favorite teacher or parent!!!
Please see the flyer in your child's folder with more details and ability
to sign up to play, help or just come and watch.
Tickets are $10 per family/$5 per person. Hope to see you there!!!

STARS for Service News
Our next STARS meeting is March 19, 2013 when we take a field trip to
LaMancha Animal Rescue. It is important that all STARS students planning
to attend this trip submit the liability waiver and permission slip by
March 12. Please remember to send a bus slip to stay after school for this
trip too.
We will be leaving promptly at 3:30 and returning between 4:30-4:45.
Please plan to pick up your child in the Atrium.

The 64th Annual Chadds Ford Art Sale & Show will be held this weekend on
Friday, 7pm-10pm and Saturday, 10am-4pm at Chadds Ford Elementary School.
The free show features works by over 70 professional artists from the
Brandywine Valley and beyond. The show opens on Friday evening with a
complimentary adults-only reception where patrons can meet the artists
while enjoying live music and hors d'oeuvres from prominent local
restaurants. 30% of all art purchases are tax deductible, proceeds benefit
the CFE PTO. A complete list of events, artists and artwork samples are

New for this year's show:
• Featured Artist - Stephen Brehm and Donating Artist Madeleine Kelly: The
show will feature popular artists Brehm and Kelly. A preview of their
featured and donating pieces and their bios are available on the website

• Meet Cartoonist John Gallagher: Cartoonist, self-publisher,
award-winning designer and Comi-Con exhibitor John Gallagher will create
unique, personalized cartoon works for purchase on Saturday from 11am-3pm.
• Art Tours: Join guides for free informative tours of the art collection
at Chadds Ford Elementary School featuring works from artists prominent in
the inception and foundation of the Brandywine Tradition on Saturday from
12pm-2:30pm.
• Children's Art Cafe: Kids enjoy making art while parents enjoy browsing
art! Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to create their own masterpiece in
a relaxing "art studio" atmosphere courtesy of Art Beat in Chadds Ford.
Spaces are available on a first come, first served basis, on Saturday from
10am-3pm. Costs vary $10-15 based on project selection.
• Raffles: Rare print "Connemara" by Jamie Wyeth; "A Very Small Dog"
signed print, also by Jamie Wyeth, and much more.
