Summer Adopt-A-Bed Project
The Patton Project Raised Bed Initiative provides an exciting opportunity
for UCFSD students and their families with their Adopt-A-Bed project!! It
is a fun way to help those who are in need while also working the gardens
with your families and taking home fresh produce. Several years ago, 22
raised beds and a greenhouse were built and we are adding 2 High Tunnels
for even more room for our greens. All were purchased with with grant
monies raised by the FCS department. The beds were just planted, but when
summer comes we will need YOUR help to maintain out entire project, which
enables us to help others 12 months out of the year. Adopt our Garden Beds
for a week or more this summer, help us water, harvest and deliver to the
Food Bank. It is a win-win proposition for all. Work with your families
while helping those who are less fortunate!! For more information please
contact Betsy Ballard or Kim Hisler or
