A fun, character developing after school program
for boys in 3rd to 5th grades!
STRIDE is a FUN and exciting fitness and running program for boys in 3rd to
5th grade. The program encourages boys to exhibit excellence in character
in all aspects of their lives, make healthy choices, and build confidence
by leading them with a curriculum that incorporates discussion, team
building activities, games and fun running workouts that build endurance so
the boys can successfully complete a 5k at the end of the season. Teams
meet twice a week for 75 minutes, and are led by trained coaches.
Throughout the program, the focus is on doing one's personal best, not
competing with each other. The boys learn the importance of making good
decisions, being a good friend, working as a team, setting goals and
working to achieve them.
The 10 week program starts the week of March 10 and ends May 31.

The 65th Annual Chadds Ford Art Sale & Show is Friday, March 21, from 7-10
PM (Adults Only), and Saturday, March 22nd from 10AM -4:00 PM, (Children
Welcome). The Art Show is the biggest fundraiser for the CFE PTO. This
year, we will have a very special guest, Victoria Wyeth, granddaughter of
Andrew and Betsy Wyeth, joining us on Saturday, March 22, for a talk at
11:00 AM. After her talk, Ms. Wyeth will be signing copies of the book
*Andrew Wyeth: Autobiography.* The books will then available for purchase.

KAU Baseball, Softball Evaluations Scheduled
Evaluations for the 2014 KAU baseball and softball programs will be held
Saturday, February 23, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Kennett Area Senior
High School, 100 E. South St., Kennett Square. Boys and girls wishing to
participate for the 2014 season should make every effort to pre-register at*
kaulittleleague.org <http://kaulittleleague.org>* prior to the evaluations.
The evaluation schedule for baseball is:
9 to 9:45 a.m.--age 12 and 13s who registered for 50/70
9:45 to 10:30 a.m.--age 11
10:30 to 11:30 a.m.--age 10
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.--age 9
12:30 to 1:30 p.m.--ages 7 and 8
Softball will hold evaluations from 2 to 3 p.m.
*Players should bring only their baseball/ softball mitts and a helmet.
Bats will be provided. Please wear sneakers--no cleats! *
Make-up evaluations for anyone who cannot make his or her scheduled time
slot on February 22 will be held from 9 a.m. until noon on March 1 at the
KAU Shed on Leslie Road in Kennett Square.
