Unionville Elementary School is participating in a Soles4Souls shoe drive!

WHO IS SOLES4SOULS?

Soles4Souls is a nonprofit organization that distributes shoes to people in need all over the world. Visit www.soles4souls.org for more information.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Go through your closets and bring/send any unwanted shoes to Unionville Elementary School. We will kick off our event at Open House, May 14th and end the event at Relay for Life on June 4th.  Collection boxes will be placed in the lobby and hallways throughout the school.  Thank you!

Patton Middle School PTO Positions open for 2015-16 school year! 
Getting involved in the PTO is a great way to meet others and also to see what's going on at Patton Middle School!
We are looking for a Vice President (no experience necessary - we will help you learn the ropes!). 
CFPMS PTO is also looking for volunteers to chair committees for the 2015-16 school year! 
Some of the open positions include:  After School Language, Bike Drive, Community Service, Coupon Books, Directory, Curriculum Council, Staff Appreciation Lunch & Brunch. The Patton PTO would like to invite 5th grade parents to our May meeting Thurs., May 7 at 9:15AM. Mr. Hoffman will be presenting on the District Homework Survey Results. Current Middle School parents will be on hand to answer questions parents of rising 6th graders may have about the middle school. It will be a great opportunity to learn more about the middle school!



ROBOTICS

Come to the Robotics Informational Night on May 6, 2015, from 7pm to 8:30pm in the Hillendale Elementary LGI.
There are robotics competitions for students at every grade level!
Junior FLL (FIRST LEGO League) is for Grades K-3.
FLL is for Grades 4-8.
FTC (FIRST TECH Challenge) is for Grades 7-12.
This meeting is for interested students AND their parents. Students and coaches from this year's robotics teams will be on hand to show you their robots and to answer questions.

Spark Field Hockey is a great, new, developmental, skills based field hockey program for girls ages K-8th grades.  We are announcing our Spring & Summer programs in Chester & Delaware Counties Spring programs @ EA & West Chester East begin 5/3 and run through 6/7 (5 weeks total)

KENNETT FUND RUN

Parents, Teachers & Staff - mark your calendars for Saturday, May 16th and REGISTER today for the 2015 Kennett Run.  The Kennett Run is giving back to the Unionville Chadds Ford Schools through the FUNDRUN!   Parents, register your student runners though the FUNDRUN button on the website; then designate their school under the TEAM drop down.  $5 from each registered student, teacher, or staff member will be donated back to your school.  Additionally the UCFSD school with the most registered runners (students, teachers or staff) will win an additional monetary prize.  All money will be donated to your school's PTO!   Register today @ www.kennettrun.net for the FundRun – any of the races count toward your school's donation (5K, 10K, or 1 mile fun run/walk).  Any questions, contact Christien Bass (bass.christien@verizon.net) – UCFSD FundRun coordinator for the Kennett Run. Not only will each school receive $5 for EACH registered STUDENT, TEACHER or STAFF runner, but the school with the MOST runners registered will win an additional $250!  This is due to a generous contribution made by Family Practice Associates.  One school from each district will be awarded $250!
