FUNDRAISING

Dear UE Parents,

Our PTO is working hard to keep fundraising to a minimum again this year. Our focus is to raise enough money for the Unionville Elementary School students' and teachers'  needs. Last year our Fun Run was a great success! We look forward to another great run this year. Our goal is to raise $16,000 for UE. If accomplished, this will be our only direct contribution event this school year.

Our theme this year is BIG World Recess.

It's a great BIG world out there! That's why we're taking students around the world with the 2015-16-character theme BIG WORLD RECESS! This is a global fitness theme all about building character through sports. Our kid-friendly documentary-style videos will introduce UE students to REAL kid-athletes who have REAL character. We're bringing inspiring stories from around the world to our school. Unionville Elementary students will touchdown in NEW YORK CITY, AUSTRALIA, BRAZIL, JAPAN, SWITZERLAND, and KENYA, learning our six Character Plays. Our students will have 15-minute assemblies each day. Each assembly focuses on one character.

  • WIN with TEAMWORK- win together by using others strength.
  • LIVE with CURIOSITY- ask big questions and explore the answers to a new world
  • SCORE with PRACTICE- get better by trying over and over, wherever you go.
  • PLAY with HUMILITY- show a winning attitude with every victory and defeat.
  •  RIDE with CONFIDENCE- makes a big challenge little by starting small.
  •  RUN with ENDURANCE- go a little farther. Strength is on the other side of not giving up.

We're giving our students an up close look at what it's like to grow up in another culture and live out character through sports, told by kids just like them.

September 21st is the Pep-rally day for our " RUN FOR THE STAR RUN"  the rain date is schedule for October 1st at 2pm

 ALL parents welcome.

UCF Education Foundation
Please designate UCFEF in the United Way Campaign

Charitable Giving Campaigns are starting at many local companies and at the United Way of Southern Chester County. Please consider donating specifically to the Unionville-Chadds Ford Education Foundation. You can designate UCFEF as the recipient of your funds by using our tax ID: 23-2806707.  We directly support projects and programs in all six schools.  Since some companies match employee donations given through workplace campaigns, it's a means to increase the funding to our schools.

Dr. Sam Goldstein, Neuropsychologist, will be facilitating a presentation for parents at the Chester County Intermediate Unit on Monday, Nov. 2 from 7:00 to 9:00PM.  The topic will be "Promoting Resilience in Our Children and Ourselves."  Parents can register using the following link: www.cciu.org/samgoldstein. There is no charge to attend.
