UE CELEBRATES NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH AND INTERNATIONAL HAPPINESS DAY
In cooperation with the Kennett Square Community Happiness Project, UE is celebrating National Nutrition Month centered around the theme of "Foods that Make Our Bodies Happy." Throughout the month of March the cafeteria will offer several free, healthy treats for students to sample during their lunch periods. We need helpers to hand out the snacks during each lunch period. Please sign up for a time slot and thank you in advance for your help.

On Monday, March 16th, students will receive a blank cardboard "lunch box" to bring home to decorate with things that make them happy (colors/animals/foods/activities). On March 20th, the students will bring a healthy lunch to school in their decorated box (or bring their empty box to the cafeteria to buy a lunch and place items in) to commemorate International Happiness Day. We would love to have volunteers dress as healthy food mascots (we have an egg, banana and mushroom) and high five students as they come into the cafeteria with their healthy lunches and boxes they have decorated. This should be a fun day, and bring smiles to many faces!
