Hello, again! I feel like I just wrote the October letter, and here we are at the beginning of November. We didn't have much school this past month, but it sure was jammed packed with activities.

Last month we really tried to focus on increasing our participation in a few indirect giving options with our "Family Fundraising Challenge of the Week". I want to emphasis how important, and easy, these fundraising opportunities are, and how beneficial they are to the school. Our Giant Bonus Card enrollment went up double digits this month alone! You can still register at any time, and the sooner the better. Our Box Tops program is having continued success, and we are on our way to meeting our goal of 10,000 Box Tops collected. VERY IMPORTANT...please remember to use Amazon Smile and School Store as you begin your holiday shopping this month. It could be very lucrative. In the first two weeks, we have made $7,765 in teacher gift cards and $852 profit for the PTO using, and linking to merchants that way. So easy, and an incredible way to support our school. Thank you to all who took the time to register, and invite family and friends to do the same. For links to any of these giving options, please visit the PTO webpage.

Mark your calendars now, for these upcoming events in November. If you have not yet signed up to get your family portraits done, there are still a limited amount of sessions available, on November 6th and 13th. This is a great way to get started on your holiday to do list, and the UE PTO will receive a portion of each sitting fee. On November 11, our school will be having a Veteran's Day Celebration. This is a very special day for our students to be able to acknowledge the veterans in their lives. All are welcome to attend this beautiful tribute. This same evening, we will be hosting our second annual comedy night. This is an adult only event at Northbrook Orchard. There will be dinner, drinks, live music, and lots of laughs. Picture retakes are on November 15th. For more information on any of these PTO events, visit Star News, or the school website.

Please join us for our next PTO meeting, on November 18th, at 9:30. Assistant Superintendent Ken Batchelor will be visiting to discuss school start times, which are now being evaluated district wide. Coffee and snacks will be served. As always your thoughts, time and support are always appreciated. I hope to see you then.

Family Portrait Fundraiser
Just in time for the holidays, we have teamed up with photographer Jordan Hayman to offer family portraits to our UE families. Portraits will be taken at Anson B. Nixon Park on November 6th and 13th. For $100 (retail value $250), families will get a 30-minute photography session, with multiple poses, and a $25 print/digital download credit. UE PTO will receive a portion of each sitting fee. The fall leaves should still be in full swing, and these would make beautiful holiday gifts.
