Upcoming Events

         DESIGNER BAG BINGO, 6:00 PM

From the PTO President

Happy Spring!  We are gearing up for the homestretch, and if your house is anything like mine, things are busy. PTO-wise, April is not an overly active month, with testing going on in the school throughout the month, but we do have a few events, and lots of planning to do for activities later in the year.

On April 21st, all parent volunteers are invited to the Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast, at 9:30 a.m. If you volunteered your time or talents in ANY WAY, you are invited to the breakfast. No job is too small, and you deserve a little appreciation. We will begin our regular PTO meeting around 10:00, so that there is time for socializing and relaxation, and you are welcome and encouraged to stay for the meeting.

That evening, we are also hosting DESIGNER BAG BINGO, at Northbrook Marketplace. If you weren't there last year, it is a fun-filled ladies night out with door prizes, raffles, food, drinks and lots of great handbags!!! You can buy individual tickets, or a table, and it is not limited to just our UE community, so spread the word and bring your family and friends. The fun starts at 6 p.m.

At the end of the month, we are hoping to bring back the Bagged Lunch Program. 4th and 5th grade classes will be asked to donate food items, and on their assigned days, head to the cafeteria to make and pack up lunches to deliver to the Salvation Army. This is a wonderful program that UE has participated in in the past and would like to reinstitute. We will need your help to get this up and running again, so look for more information in the upcoming weeks.

Lastly, we are teaming up with photographer Jordan Hayman for portraits again on April 30th and May 21st. There are limited sessions available, and a portion of each will go directly to the UE PTO.  This is the perfect opportunity to get photos for First Communion, Graduation, Mother's Day, or just because you haven't done them in a while!

So, that is considered a slow month!!! Have a fantastic April!

Megan Cromer

Perfect timing for First Communion, Graduation and Mother's Day portraits.

We will also offer a deluxe package for the spring! For $350, Jordan will meet your family at Longwood Gardens for a 90 minute session, with multiple poses and locations, and a $100 print/digital download credit. You can also donate a book to the BBC in honor of another child's birthday (instead of buying a gift, gift a book in their honor!), or for other special occasions in your child's life.
